When you meet a new friend or boss, a question arises in your mind: What kind of person is he? You may not do it out of bad intentions; you want to learn about his character so that it is easier to understand and the relationship will go well.
Judging someone’s character is an everyday prejudice that many people do.
However, I must admit that I often make mistakes when judging someone. The characters that I see on the surface will be very different as time goes by.
I once met a woman who looked so kind and hardworking. She spoke very convincingly and gracefully and seemed empathetic to others. Her way of dressing was also quite luxurious. Then I got the news that she was hiding some secrets and a mountain of debt that cornered her and finally made her run away.
Judging someone’s character is like a guessing game. Many people don’t want to be easily read by others. They hide a part of themselves for their safety or work purposes. That can mislead you, right?
